Yummy Spa Salad!

Tired of the same old salads?

Try Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad!

INGREDIENTS
1 tablespoon butter
3/4 cup almonds, blanched and slivered
1 pound spinach, rinsed and torn into bite-size pieces
1 cup dried cranberries
2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
1/2 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons minced onion
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 cup white wine vinegar
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup vegetable oil

DIRECTIONS
In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Cook and stir almonds in butter until lightly toasted. Remove from heat, and let cool.
In a large bowl, combine the spinach with the toasted almonds and cranberries.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the sesame seeds, poppy seeds, sugar, onion, paprika, white wine vinegar, cider vinegar, and vegetable oil. Toss with spinach just before serving.

What do you love about what you do?
I'm a product junkie!! I love trying and researching new products for the skin and body. My favorite product right now is our terra cotta foot scrubber for the feet--it is only $9 and lasts forever! I use it in the shower to get the dead skin off. Love it! I also love being in a feel good industry.


What is your favorite treatment?
The Alpha Beta Peel (for the face) because it tightens my skin and makes me look younger--I don't go a month without getting one. Everyone always tells me that my skin looks great, and that is my little secret to keeping my skin under control.


What is your position?
I am one of the owners of Pura Vida Day Spa and I own Wow Factor Cards as well.


What advice do you give to your clients?
I always tell people that the most important thing is SUN PROTECTION and having a regular regimen with your skin care. Do both of those and you will have excellent results over time.


What do you do in your free time?
I save business owners time and money by putting the WOW factor in their lives.
